Under Al Goldis and Rick Patterson, who have worked together many times before in pro-baseball, Cat 5 will look and practice more like a minor league team than a summer college league. The Gulf Coast League will have an all star weekend, playoff games and have plenty of scouts and college coaches around. Cat 5 is going to offer a couple of pro days where their players will be able to be evaluated and given advise for improvement by actual pro MLB scouts.
The FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CENTER is a state of the art Baseball Training Center with 20k square feet under air with full gym, 8 huge cages, batting machines, trainer, pro-shop, custom uniform area, locker rooms and showers.
